Whispers of Dragon Gold - Can YOU Solve the Mystery?

Long, long ago, deep below what would become the bustling Liverpool docks, lived a lonely dragon named Silver Shadow. Despite her beautiful, shimmering silver scales, she longed for the golden scales of her sisters. To make her dream come true, she began to collect golden treasures and coins, hoping to bask in their light and be golden in her own eyes. Legend has it that her hoard of gold is all that remains of Silver Shadow, and rumours have swirled around Liverpool for centuries about its whereabouts.

Recently, an old map was discovered in the docks, containing a series of clues that only the bravest and most daring explorers will be able to decipher. Will YOU take on the challenge and solve this perilous quest? And perhaps, just perhaps, you'll catch a glimpse of a dragon's silver wing or hear its roar in the distance…

What is a Treasure Trail?

Before You Set Off

Before you set off on your awesome adventure, there are a few things you need to know...

Unfortunately, the route is not friendly for wheelchair users and pushchairs due to unavoidable steps along the way.

This is a busy area, and there may be some clues set in spaces where dogs are prohibited, so we don't recommend bringing your four-legged friends along.

The closest long stay pay and display car park to the Trail start point is at Albert Dock (L3 4AF), just a one-minute walk away. There are lots of alternative car parks in this area if this one is full. Or why not try Liverpool's bus service? Liverpool One bus station is just two minutes away from the quest start point.

There are some fantastic events in Liverpool's calendar, all of which are great times to visit this beautiful city. However, you may find that some of the clues on this Trail may become obstructed or difficult to access on these occasions. If you would like further information about event dates, please contact Liverpool Tourist Information.

There are public toilets available at Liverpool One (Clue 07) with lots of shops and cafes here too. There are great picnic spots in Chavasse Park and on the waterfront.

Why not make a day of it and visit The Beatles Story to explore memories of the Fab Four, or see the city sights from up high on The Liverpool Wheel! If you fancy another challenge, you could have a go at one of the other Trails in our Liverpool collection.
