The Case of the Missing High Kings - A Detective's Adventure

Well-known shoemaker and expert rambler, Ike N'Butes, had a love for hiking like no other. His passion for beating personal bests on the Cleveland Way led him to create his latest invention - the High Kings - gold-plated Techno-Trek trainers that were sure to make him the fastest hiker yet. But when Ike failed to arrive at his B&B after setting off on a ramble, a search party was dispatched to find him. He was later discovered by Mrs Bea Amby, minus his prized High Kings. Now, it's up to YOU to help Detective Chief Inspector Monty Nearer solve this mystery.

What is a Treasure Trail?

Before You Set Off

Please Note:

Route:

This Trail follows a circular route and includes country paths and a sports field, so pick footwear for possibly muddy sections. Please note that the Church porch doors for Clue 09 are open 9-5pm in summer, 9-4pm in winter.

Facilities:

There are plenty of pubs, cafes and tea rooms in and around the town centre. There is a children's playground towards the beginning of the Trail. Toilets are available in the car park at the start and near the market square towards the end of the Trail.

Extend your trip:

Helmsley Castle is well worth a visit, as are the Helmsley Walled Gardens
