Stop the Evil Dr Tennessine in Winchester!

The peaceful city of Winchester is under threat from the wicked plans of rogue chemist, Dr Nickel Tennessine. With a device planted on St Catherine's Hill that can turn people into statues, the mad scientist and her team of criminal cohorts are planning to rob and plunder the innocent people of Winchester. But it doesn't stop there - their sights are set on London and other wealthy capitals. Time is running out, can you crack the secret code and stop Dr Tennessine's greedy plan before it's too late?

Spy Mission Through Winchester

Embark on an outdoor escape room adventure like no other as you follow this self-guided Spy Mission Trail through the charming city of Winchester. Starting at the Guildhall, you'll journey on a circular route through the city, passing by the Cathedral, through the Water Meadows, and past the historic St Cross Hospital. The highlight of the trail is the magnificent views at St Catherine's Hill, but be sure to wear suitable footwear for the walk.

As you solve the sneaky clues hidden on existing buildings, permanent features, and monuments, you'll feel like a true secret agent on a top-secret mission. But be quick - time is of the essence as you race to deactivate the dastardly device and save the city from disaster.

Will YOU be able to stop Dr Tennessine and her unscrupulous gang?

What is a Treasure Trail?

Before You Set Off

Please Note:

Winchester City to St Catherine's Hill starts at the Guildhall and follows a circular route past the Cathedral, through the Water Meadows, past St Cross Hospital and around to St Catherine's Hill, returning by a different path along the river.

Those not keen on walking the 300 steps up St Catherine's Hill may avoid this by following the path beside the river to the left of the hill. They would miss two Clues based on the Hill, but can use the Text Line to solve these Clues.

The Trail itself will take around three hours or so to complete. However, you can easily make a full day of it by visiting attractions along the way (Winchester Cathedral, Winchester College, or St Cross Hospital, for example), or having a picnic along the river or on St Catherine's Hill.

This is one of five Trails in Winchester City. The Trails are totally independent of each other and explore different parts of this fascinating city.
