We have three super duper themed Clubs for your child to enjoy as part of their Treasure Trail experience.

Perfect for 4-8 year olds, the concept behind the Clubs is that your child will get a bundle of goodies to excite them about their forthcoming Trail experience, something to keep them entertained whilst travelling to and from the Trail, and something to be given on completion of the Trail as a keepsake.

Before you set off on your awesome adventure, there are a few things you need to know...

This Trail is not marked as wheelchair or pushchair friendly due to cobbled streets and narrow pavements throughout.

This is not a dog-friendly Trail as it takes you through Dean's Park (Clues 1 and 2) (open 7am until dusk), where pups are prohibited.

Dean's Park is sometimes closed due to strong winds during the winter months; please check it is open before starting your Trail.

The closest long stay pay and display car park to the Trail start point is at St. John's Street (YO31 7QR), just a 10-minute walk away. Or why not try York’s Park and Ride service?

York is a fantastic city full of rich history - there is always something going on! The fantastic 'Heart of Yorkshire' festival takes place in Dean's Park throughout the summer, and various foodie fayres take place throughout the year. You may find that during some of these events, clues could be obscured or hard to access. Please contact York's Visitor Information for event dates, if needed.

There are public toilets available at Union Terrace, a five-minute walk from the start point of the Trail, and the route passes cafes, food stands and several pubs along the way.

Why not make a whole day of it and take a look inside York Minster or pay a visit to the Richard III and Henry VII Experiences for more of York's history? You could even extend your adventuring and have a go at one of our other York Trails (The Chocolate and Sweet Trail will make your mouth water)!
