Minster Yard

Please Note:

This Trail is not dog friendly as it takes you through Dean’s Park (open 7am until dusk) where pups are prohibited.

York is a fantastic city full of rich history - there is always something going on! The fantastic ‘Heart of Yorkshire’ festival takes place in Dean’s Park throughout the summer and various foodie fayres take place throughout the year. You may find that during some of these events, Clues could be obscured or hard to access. Please contact York’s Visitor Information for event dates, if needed.

There are public toilets available at Union Terrace, 5 minute walk from the start point of the Trail, and the route passes cafes, food stands and several pubs along the way - take a peek at this list to get some ideas!

Why not make a whole day of it and take a look inside York Minster or pay a visit to the Richard III and Henry VII Experiences for more of York’s history? You could even extend your adventuring and have a go at one of our other York Trails (The Chocolate and Sweet Trail will make your mouth water)!
