The Missing House Keys - A Detective Mystery in Brighton

Walter Lew, a lifelong ABBA fan, has finally fulfilled his dream of living in Brighton - the town where ABBA's Eurovision win in 1974 made them legends. But trouble is brewing in this coastal town. The local Olivia Newton-John fan club is still bitter about ABBA's victory and has been working to keep ABBA fans out of the town. When Walter's new house keys mysteriously disappear, he suspects foul play. Can you, our band of top detectives, follow the clues and reveal the culprit?

A Detective Mystery Through Brighton's Cultural Quarter & Parks

Grab your magnifying glasses and get ready for an immersive detective mystery in the heart of Brighton's cultural quarter and parks. As you hunt high and low, past grand Georgian buildings and through fantastic parks, you'll uncover incredible stories and solve the case of the missing house keys. But beware, the Olivia Newton-John fan club is under suspicion, and only the most daring detectives will be able to crack the case.

Follow the trail through Brighton's historic and scenic areas, including the Cultural Quarter and Parks, and uncover sneaky clues hidden in permanent features and intriguing monuments. Can you solve the mystery and reclaim Walter's dream home in Brighton?

The town is counting on you, detectives! Are you ready to take on the challenge and crack the case?

What is a Treasure Trail?

Before You Set Off

Before you set off on your awesome adventure, there are a few things you need to know...

This route is friendly for wheelchair users and pushchairs.

Bring your four-legged friends along! Please note that it is a busy town centre, so dogs will need to be kept on leads.

There are many (pretty expensive!) places to park along the seafront in Brighton that are close to the start point of the Trail. However, a cheaper long stay pay and display car park that's a 14 minute walk away from the Trail start point is the Green car park at Churchill Square Shopping Centre, (BN1 2FB). Alternatively, Brighton has a great park and ride service operating from Withdean Sports Complex.

There are some fantastic events in Brighton's calendar, all of which are great times to visit this beautiful town. However, you may find that some of the clues on this Trail may become obstructed or difficult to access on these occasions. If you would like further information about event dates, please contact Brighton Visitor Information.

There are public toilets available towards the beginning of the Trail, and the route passes several pubs and a few cafes along the way. The Pavilion Gardens make a great picnic spot if the weather is nice!

Why not make a day of it and visit the Royal Pavilion or Brighton's Museum for a cultural and historical fix? You could even try one of our other Brighton Trails if you're seeking another adventure!
