The Herbal Hitman Strikes Again!

The once-beloved tune of 'Scarborough Fair' now sends shivers down the spines of the seaside town's residents. Three mysterious incidents have occurred in as many days, and the perpetrator has been dubbed 'The Herbal Hitman' due to the sprig of fresh herbs left at each crime scene. The victims were found clutching PARSLEY, SAGE, and ROSEMARY, leading police to desperately search for the culprit before they strike again. Chief Inspector Corrie Hander has put out a call for a team of skilled detectives who can rise to the challenge - and that's where YOU come in! Are you ready to add some spice to this case by solving the clues scattered around town and bringing the guilty party to justice?

What is a Treasure Trail?

Before You Set Off

Before you set off on your awesome adventure, there are a few things you need to know...

The Trail is friendly for wheelchairs and pushchairs.

Bring your four-legged friends along! Please note that dogs will need to be kept on leads, including in the gardens.

There are a lot of car parks in Scarborough within easy walking distance from the start. However, during the summer and peak holiday periods, parking spaces can be hard to find, so the Park and Ride is often a better option to save driving around searching for an empty spot.

There are some fantastic events in Scarborough's calendar, all of which are great times to visit this beautiful town. However, you may find that some of the clues on this Trail may become obstructed or difficult to access on these occasions. If you would like further information about event dates, please contact Scarborough Visitor Information.

There are toilets available in the Brunswick Centre, and there is a myriad of cafes, restaurants, pubs and other eating establishments at the beginning and end of the Trail. The gardens along the route make fantastic picnic spots if the weather is nice!

Why not make a day of it by visiting the Rotunda Museum and Art Gallery along the way? You could even challenge yourself to another Trail adventure to uncover more twisting tales about this amazing town!
