What is a Treasure Trail?

Before You Set Off

Before you set off on your awesome adventure to explore Plymouth, there are a few things you need to know...

Unfortunately, due to some unavoidable steps at the war memorial on The Hoe, the route is not friendly for wheelchair users, however those with pushchairs, if you are happy to negotiate a few steps, you should be fine!

Bring your four-legged friends along! Please note that it is a busy city centre, so dogs will need to be kept on leads.

The closest pay and display car park to the Trail start point is at Theatre Royal car park (PL1 2TR), which is right beside the start point. Other city centre car parks are available. Or, why not try Plymouth's fantastic Park and Ride service?

There are some fantastic events in Plymouth's calendar, all of which are great times to visit this vibrant ocean city. However, you may find that some of the clues on this Trail may become obstructed or difficult to access on these occasions - particularly during the MTV Festival. If you would like further information about event dates, please contact Plymouth Tourist Information.

There are public toilets available near Clues 13 and 17. The route passes several pubs and a few cafes along the way, and there's a great picnic spot halfway along at The Hoe.
