Mini Secret Agent Club
We have three super duper themed Clubs for your child to enjoy as part of their Treasure Trail experience.
Perfect for 4-8 year olds, the concept behind the Clubs is that your child will get a bundle of goodies to excite
them about their forthcoming Trail experience, something to keep them entertained whilst travelling to and from
the Trail, and something to be given on completion of the Trail as a keepsake.

Before You Set Off
Before You Set Off
Before you set off on your awesome adventure, there are a few things you need to know...
Unfortunately, the route is not marked as friendly for pushchairs and wheelchair users due to some narrow pavements, hills, country lanes and a stretch along a riverside path.
Why not bring your four-legged friends along? Please note that around the town centre, dogs will need to be kept on leads.
There's a short stay car park at the Trail start point: Horsemarket Car Park (DL12 0SL). Alternatively, if this is full, you could always try parking on one of the quieter roads, or even along the main road through town, (Town End). If you use any of these alternatives, you'll need to make your way to the junction by Horsemarket / Market Place / Bridge Street to then start your mission.
There are public toilets available close to the war memorial (close to the start point and Clue 19). The route passes a few pubs, cafes and several shops along the way. During the Trail, you'll be exploring along the edge of a river, so why not bring a picnic with you and soak up the ambience?
As it's an official "Walkers are Welcome" destination, why not extend your visit and experience The Tees Railway Path, Grassholme Reservoir or any of the Teesdale Challenge Walks? If you wish to bring bicycles along, there's always the Middleton Cycle Route nearby. Once finished in the town, nearby attractions such as the infamous Barnard Castle can help you to check that your eyesight is okay.
