Before You Set Off
Before You Set Off
Navigating The Route
This is a circular investigation around Eye’s town centre, castle area and surrounding paths, with detectives following pavements, footpaths and some uneven ground as they track down corrupt bank staff.
There are uneven and potentially muddy sections, along with varied terrain and footpaths, so the route is not suitable for most wheelchairs or pushchairs. However, robust buggies and wheelchairs should be able to navigate the paths. Take care near roads, keep your squad close and watch your footing, especially on rougher or muddy stretches.
Getting There
For parking, Cross Street Car Park (IP23 7AB) is your recommended stakeout spot and where your first clue is waiting.
Local bus services run from nearby Diss, which has a train station, but check timetables before you set off.
Need the Loo?
Even top detectives need a comfort break during a long investigation!
Public toilets can be found at the start location in the car park.
There are also cafés and shops in the town centre for a well-timed refuel while reviewing your evidence.
Bring Your Furry Sidekicks
Four-legged detectives are welcome on the case 🐾
With town streets, paths and some countryside sections to explore, it’s a great outing for canine companions - just keep leads handy near roads and in muddier areas.

Castle Clues & Countryside Patrols
This investigation takes you through Eye’s historic streets and up towards the castle and folly, with countryside paths adding a slightly more adventurous edge to your casework.
Historic Streets & Hidden Suspects
From the town centre to quieter back routes, every corner feels like it could be hiding a clue… or a suspicious banker trying to avoid your questions.
Views, Parks & Detective Breaks
If you take the optional detour up to the folly, you’ll be rewarded with fantastic views - though you’ll need to tackle the steps to get there! A great spot for a quick debrief before closing in on your culprit.
