In 1815, George James Craig set sail from Banchory on a ship full of treasure, never to be seen again. But last year, a fisherman found an old bottle with a map inside, leading to a previously unknown Caribbean island called Craig Island. On the back of the map were instructions for finding hidden treasures, with clues scattered around Banchory. Could these instructions have been written by George James Craig himself? Now, the Intrepid Explorers Society (IES) is seeking brave adventurers (that's YOU!) to embark on a thrilling journey through the wilds of Banchory and solve this great mystery. But beware, you may not be the only ones on the hunt…

Treasure Hunt Through Banchory - The Trail to Craig Island

Looking for a fun day out with family and friends in Banchory? Look no further than this self-guided Treasure Hunt Trail that will take you on a journey through the town, packed with exciting clues and challenges. Starting in a car park near High Street, the Trail will lead you through the town centre, George V Park, along the banks of the Dee, and to St Ternans Graveyard. As you follow the circular route, keep your eyes peeled for hidden clues that will lead you to the treasure!
