Treasure Trails and Tempo

Treasure Trails is excited to team up with Tempo Time Credits to reward volunteering!

With Tempo, people who dedicate themselves to one of their volunteering opportunities earn digital time credits to recognise their hours. In return, volunteers can use these credits on various activities, products and services across Tempo’s national network of Recognition Partners.

As part of this new joint venture, volunteers will now have access to over 1,200 self-guided adventures across the UK with Treasure Trails!

Aaron Hutchens, General Manager of Treasure Trails, is super excited to kick off this partnership:

“We’re thrilled to be working with Tempo and their army of volunteers nationwide. Treasure Trails provide a fun and easy way to get outside, explore, discover and spend quality time with people you love.

Over the past 18 months, we have all seen how important being outside and interacting with others is to our mental health and wellbeing. This partnership allows us to reward people who are prepared to give their time to help others.”

Tempo is already doing amazing work

So far, over 68,000 people have earned more than one million Time Credits across England and Wales.

Through the introduction of Time Credits, public services, voluntary and community organisations can recruit new volunteers from diverse backgrounds and retain existing volunteers.

The team at TTHQ aren’t the only ones enthusiastic about this partnership. Helen Smith, Contract Manager at Tempo Time Credits, said:

"We are delighted to be partnering with Treasure Trails as a major new national Recognition Partner. Tempo operates across the UK supporting community volunteers working towards various outcomes, including supporting vulnerable people, reducing isolation and loneliness, improving mental health and supporting families.

Partnering with Treasure Trails means all our volunteers can get outside, get some exercise and have fun. There are so many Treasure Trails across the UK to choose from, so it doesn’t matter if you are in a big city or live rurally, you can still access this great offer.”

There is also tons of evidence showing that volunteering leads to positive health and well-being outcomes for an individual - two goals that Treasure Trails shares wholeheartedly.

A recent impact evaluation carried out by independent consultants Apteligen for Tempo found that participation in Time Credits programmes led to positive outcomes for individuals.

More than three-quarters of people surveyed who participated in Time Credits reported feeling more confident, 70% reported improved quality of life, 87% said they could afford to do more things, and 95% participated in more community activity. We think that’s pretty awesome!
