A trail of clues awaits in

Nottingham

At the Nottingham Playhouse, a discovery has been made by the aged stagehand, Seymour Acks. Tucked away beneath an unused trap door, he found a letter from the famous actress, Patty O'Dores, addressed to her beau, Bobby Dazzler. The letter contains a dusty old map and a series of clues that supposedly lead to a long-lost mayoral chain of office worth thousands of pounds! Unfortunately, Bobby was not the brightest and never found the treasure. Now, Patty and Bobby are too old to search themselves, so it's up to YOU to help them out!

Treasure Hunt Through Nottingham City and Arboretum

Are you looking for a fun activity to do with family and friends in Nottingham? Then embark on an exciting Treasure Hunt through Nottingham City and Arboretum. As you follow the Trail route, you'll solve sneaky clues hidden on existing buildings, permanent features, and monuments to uncover the location of the buried treasure.

The adventure begins in the Old Market Square and takes you on a circular route to the Grade II listed Arboretum. Along the way, you'll pass by fascinating buildings with unique architecture, the Royal Centre, and the bustling city centre, before returning to the market square.

Join the search for the long lost chain of office and help Patty and Bobby fulfil their dreams!

More Information:

Please Note:

The Arboretum is closed at dusk each day, so please leave plenty of time to solve the Clues for this part of the Trail. Click here to check the park's opening times. Also, if possible, please use the Park and Ride service as parking in the city centre can be very expensive.

We believe that the Trail route is suitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs and for your dog to accompany you if you so wish.

We are currently unaware of any restrictions for dogs on this Trail, and whilst most of our Trails can be enjoyed with dogs, those in towns and cities may be less suitable due to traffic and a lack of open spaces. You may also encounter restricted access to parks etc.

Mini Explorer Club

We have three super duper themed Clubs for your child to enjoy as part of their Treasure Trail experience.

Perfect for 4-8 year olds, the concept behind the Clubs is that your child will get a bundle of goodies to excite them about their forthcoming Trail experience, something to keep them entertained whilst travelling to and from the Trail, and something to be given on completion of the Trail as a keepsake.
