The Secret of Bournemouth - Can YOU Save the Royal Glen Hotel?

Attention all TOP Agents! We have a mission for you in the bustling seaside resort of Bournemouth. The world-famous chef, Pepe Roni, is on the hunt for a prestigious hotel to host his new gourmet cooking show, and the beautiful five-star Royal Glen Hotel is his top choice. But rival hoteliers are not happy about it and have hatched a crafty scheme to take the Royal Glen out of the equation. They have planted a device in the hotel's kitchen that will fill the whole building with expanding foam. It's up to YOU to gather intel, crack the clues, and deactivate the device before it's too late.

Simmering Scheme to Cook Up a Storm!

Join us on an immersive and family-friendly spy mission through the town centre and gardens of Bournemouth. Your adventure begins at the peaceful Meyrick Park, where you can watch a game of crown green bowling or cricket before setting off through the Bournemouth Gardens and into the bustling town with its lively cafes and shops.

As you follow the self-guided Trail route, you'll encounter sneaky clues hidden on existing buildings, permanent features, and monuments. Use your spy skills to crack the code and put a stop to this silly scheme.

Do YOU have what it takes to save the Royal Glen Hotel and become a TOP Agent?

What is a Treasure Trail?

Before You Set Off

Before you set off on your awesome adventure, there are a few things you need to know...

The route is friendly for wheelchair users and pushchairs.

Bring your four-legged friends along! Please note that it is a busy town centre, so dogs will need to be kept on leads.

The closest car park to the Trail start point is at Meyrick Park, just off Central Drive (BH2 6LH), where your mission begins.

There are some fantastic events in Bournemouth’s calendar, all of which are great times to visit this beautiful town. However, you may find that some of the clues on this Trail become obstructed or difficult to access on these occasions. If you would like further information about event dates, please contact Bournemouth Tourist Information.

There aren’t any public toilets available on this Trail. The route passes pubs, shops and cafes after Clue 14, so pack plenty of supplies to keep you going!

Looking for more things to do in Bournemouth? Make a day of it and visit the Russell-Cotes Art Gallery and Museum or pack a picnic and relax on the beach after your mission. You could even challenge yourself to our Bournemouth Sands and Gardens Trail and let out your inner daring detective!
