Before You Set Off
Navigating The Route
This is a circular treasure quest through Oxford’s historic streets, green spaces and canal towpaths, with explorers following pavements, paths and waterside routes. The walking is mostly straightforward, but there may be some muddy patches along the canal after wet weather, so sturdy footwear is a wise choice. Take extra care near the canal towpath, as there are sections without railings and cyclists may pass by.
Getting There
Gather your expedition team and prepare to track down the missing chalice:
Worcester Street Car Park (OX1 2BQ) - The official starting point for your quest.
Westgate Shopping Centre Car Park - A nearby alternative if needed.
Oxford Train Station - Just a short walk away for those arriving by rail.
For a smoother arrival, Park and Ride options are also available around the city.
Need the Loo?
Even top explorers need to plan their pit stops!
Public toilets can be found in Gloucester Green (between Clues 02 and 03), early in your adventure. There are also plenty of cafés, pubs and eateries along the route, so you won’t be short of places to refuel.
Bring Your Furry Sidekicks
Four-legged explorers are welcome to join the adventure. There are lots of open spaces and scenic paths to enjoy, but keep leads handy near roads and especially along the canal towpath.
