The Jurassic Coast is a palaeontologist's dream, with its abundance of fossils and dinosaur bones. But just one week ago, the residents along the coastline were buzzing with excitement after the ancient remains of a long-forgotten, deadly dinosaur, the 'Doyouthinkhesaurus', were exhumed. However, within a day of their discovery, the bones mysteriously disappeared! World-famous archaeologist, Professor Den Bones, is desperate to relocate these bones - the near-perfect fossil specimen is considered a geological 'treasure'. And he needs YOUR help!

Treasure Hunt Through the Jurassic Coast

Join the Exploration Society and embark on an exciting self-guided detective mystery themed walking adventure along the stunning Jurassic Coast. As you follow the Trail route, you'll solve clues scattered around the area and use a map left behind by the thief to pinpoint the fossils. But be careful - the thief is cunning and will do everything in their power to throw you off their trail.

The adventure begins at Overcombe Car Park in Weymouth and takes you through some of the official walking routes, including Weymouth, Lodmoor Country Park, The Rodwell Trail, Chesil Beach Centre, National Sailing Academy, and the Portland Marina to the Gateway of Portland. Don't worry if you don't have your own bikes, as bicycles can be hired at the Jurassic Trails Cycle Hire at the start of the Trail.
