Ready for an adventure?

A trail of clues awaits in

Bath

Centuries ago, during the height of the Roman Empire, a mysterious map was created, leading to a hidden trove of treasure. But as the years passed, the map was lost, and the treasure remained untouched. That was until a recent archaeological dig in Bath uncovered a skeleton clutching a well-preserved map with mysterious scrawled notes. Now, it's up to YOU to solve the Roman riddle and uncover the treasure before the nefarious BATH (Brutally Awful Treasure Hunters) get their hands on it!

Excavation Exposes Expedition Extravaganza!

Join the Intrepid Explorers Society (IES) on an immersive self-guided treasure hunt through the historic city of Bath. As you follow the clues and solve the puzzles, you'll journey through ancient cobbled streets, past the rippling river, and visit famous landmarks such as the Roman Baths and the iconic Royal Crescent.

But beware-the notorious BATH are hot on your trail, and only the most daring adventurers will be able to crack the code and uncover the hidden hoard of precious gems and Roman gold.

Are YOU ready to make history and claim the treasure for yourself?

More Information:

Before you set off on your awesome adventure to explore Bath, there are a few things you need to know...

The route is wheelchair and pushchair friendly.

Bring your four-legged friends along, but please note that some parks may require you to keep pooches on leads.

The closest long stay pay and display car park to the Trail start point is at Manvers Street (BA1 1JZ). However, we would suggest using one of Bath's Park and Ride services - especially during busy periods.

There are some fantastic events in Bath's calendar, including the Bath Festival, Jane Austen Festival and some amazing Christmas Markets. You may find that during these events, some of the clues may become obstructed or difficult to access. If you would like further information about event dates, please contact Bath Visitor Centre.

There are public toilets available at various points throughout the Trail, and the route passes several pubs, restaurants and a few cafes along the way.

Looking for more things to do in Bath? Make a day of it and visit the famous Roman Baths or spend your afternoon in Jane Austen`s shoes with a trip to the Jane Austen Centre, a stop for high tea and a 'constitutional' around the Georgian Garden! Or, challenge yourself to one of our other Bath Trails to uncover more twisting tales about the city!
