A trail of clues awaits in
West India Quay
Over 200 years ago, after a long day of looting, the infamous Spanish pirate known as 'El Loco' made a mistake and ended up at West India Quay instead of the West Indies. In a panic to escape the British Navy, El Loco scattered Clues to the whereabouts of his Caribbean trove of ill-gotten gains around the Quays. He even lost his all-important map of stash spots, which was luckily found by a local and passed down through generations until it reached us at the Exploration Society. Now, we need YOU, our most intrepid adventurer, to follow the Clues and uncover the location of the hidden treasure trove! Are you up for the challenge?
The Quest for El Loco's Treasure Trove
Embark on an exciting self-guided Treasure Hunt through West India Quay, perfect for family and friends or a fun day out with the kids. As you follow the Trail route, can you solve the sneaky clues set on existing buildings, permanent features, and monuments to discover the location of the buried treasure?
The Trail starts at West India Quay station and leads you around Westferry Circus, Cabot, and Canada Place as you explore this part of Canary Wharf. Keep an eye out for surprises along the way as you head back across the footbridge towards the Museum of London Docklands.
