Top secret!

We've got a mission for you in

Belvoir

It's a cheese-lover's worst nightmare - two of Nottinghamshire's top chefs, Sue Chef and Rick Otter, have been kidnapped! Just as they were about to release their latest cookbook, "1001 Things To Do With Stilton", the culinary duo were snatched and whisked away in a van. The ransom note demands that their publisher, Warren Peace, replace all mentions of Stilton with Cheddar - signed by none other than Dr Sam Urset.

Our agents have tracked down a warehouse where the chefs are believed to be held, but there's a catch - it's guarded by a herd of angry cows, and the door is locked with a four-digit code! We need the help of top agents to follow the trail of crumbs through the Vale of Belvoir, solve the intel, and crack the code to save our chefs. Will you take on this daring mission and become our heroes?

The Great Cheese Caper in the Vale of Belvoir

Get ready for an immersive and family-friendly adventure through the picturesque Vale of Belvoir, as you follow the cheesy spy trail that will take you to Cropwell Bishop and Vale. Along the way, you'll uncover sneaky clues hidden in local landmarks, discover quirky characters who may hold valuable information, and solve puzzles that will lead you closer to the chefs' location.

The trail begins in the quaint village of Cropwell Bishop, where the aroma of Stilton cheese fills the air. Can you crack the code and save Sue and Rick before it's too late?

The fate of our chefs rests in your hands, agents. Will you accept this mission and save the day?

More Information:

Navigating The Route

This is a scenic mission through the Vale of Belvoir, travelling between villages by car (or bike), with short stretches on foot to gather vital intel. Some sections - especially after Clue 08 - can get muddy underfoot, so suitable footwear is essential if you don’t want to end up in a sticky situation. Stay alert on country roads and pavements, as some are narrow with passing traffic.

Getting There

Your mission begins in the village of Cropwell Bishop: Church Street near The Chequers Inn (NG12 3DB) - Park your undercover vehicle here to kick things off. If it’s busy, nearby side streets offer alternative parking. From here, you’ll begin tracking the first crumbs of intel... so keep your cover intact from the very start.

Need the Loo?

A quick briefing before you deploy... There are no public toilets along this mission route, so plan ahead before heading out into the field. Refreshment stops are limited too, so it’s wise to pack supplies - water, snacks, and anything else your team needs to stay sharp while cracking the case.

Bring Your Furry Sidekicks

Four-legged agents can join you on most of this countryside mission. We are currently unaware of any restrictions for dogs.

Just keep them under close control near roads, farmland and livestock - especially as there may be some very serious-looking cows guarding key areas of intel!

Essential Intel

Supplies & Safe Zones

This is a longer, more remote mission, so HQ strongly recommends bringing everything you need with you. There are only a few places to refuel along the route, but plenty of excellent picnic spots if you fancy a scenic stakeout.

Want to Make a Day of It?

Cheese Country & Creamery Stops

You’ll be operating in the heart of Stilton country, with visits to villages famed for their award-winning dairies. Keep your eyes peeled - and your tastebuds ready - as this mission passes some 'grate' local spots.

Countryside Views & Quiet Cover

From open fields to peaceful village lanes, this route is packed with scenic stretches - perfect for staying under the radar while you piece together the clues. Just don’t get too distracted... the fate of those kidnapped chefs is at stake.

Villages, History & Hidden Intel

From Domesday roots to centuries of local stories, each stop on your mission has its own secrets to uncover. Between clues, you’ll be exploring places that have seen everything from medieval life to modern-day cheesemaking mastery.

Mini Secret Agent Club

We have three super duper themed Clubs for your child to enjoy as part of their Treasure Trail experience.

Perfect for 4-8 year olds, the concept behind the Clubs is that your child will get a bundle of goodies to excite them about their forthcoming Trail experience, something to keep them entertained whilst travelling to and from the Trail, and something to be given on completion of the Trail as a keepsake.
