A trail of clues awaits in

Stamford

Back in the days when the town of Stamford was thriving with wealthy wool merchants, there was also a notorious sheep rustler named Robin de Lambs. For years, he preyed on unsuspecting flocks, but eventually, the merchants caught on to his cunning ways and had him arrested. Robin was sentenced and shipped off to Australia, where he spent his days as a law-abiding sheep farmer. However, legend has it that he never spent any of his ill-gotten gains, so where is the loot now?

The Intrepid Explorer Society (IES) needs YOU to help solve the mystery of Robin's lost sheepy stash!

Treasure Hunt Through the Historic Town of Stamford

Join us on an immersive self-guided treasure hunt through the quaint and picturesque town of Stamford. As you follow the trail, you'll pass by the famous George Hotel, Red Lion Square, and Broad Street, as well as venture through the meadows up to Sheep Market.

But be warned, rival treasure seekers are also on the hunt for Robin's lost loot. Can YOU decipher the cryptic notes on the strange map we've been given and uncover the woolly wonga?

Don't be sheepish, join the treasure hunt and see if YOU can find the lost sheep stash of Robin de Lambs!

More Information:

Please Note: Sometimes there is a market on a Saturday in the Red Lion Square which may make finding one of the clues a little tricky. Please bear this in mind when planning your adventure.

The Trail is marked as wheelchair inaccessible because of the section for Clues 14 and 15 (there are steps down from the passageway after Clue 14 and steps up just before Clue 15). To avoid these, instead of turning right into Olde Barn Passage (directions before Clue 14), continue straight on along the right hand side of St Mary’s Street and follow this road around to the right where it’ll meet up with the end of St Mary’s Passage (where Clue 15 is located). It means you'll miss out on Clue 14 but one of your team could pop down Olde Barn Passage to solve it.

Mini Explorer Club

We have three super duper themed Clubs for your child to enjoy as part of their Treasure Trail experience.

Perfect for 4-8 year olds, the concept behind the Clubs is that your child will get a bundle of goodies to excite them about their forthcoming Trail experience, something to keep them entertained whilst travelling to and from the Trail, and something to be given on completion of the Trail as a keepsake.
