Ripon

Ripon, a quaint city known for its beautiful gardens and winding river, has been struck by a notorious relic robber. Ms Anne Teak, a cunning thief, has pulled off the perfect heist, replacing all four of Ripon's valuable ceremonial horns with worthless replicas. But her plan has been foiled, as one of the imitation horns let out a high-pitched squeak, exposing the ruse. The Hornblower, left embarrassed and huffing and puffing, has discovered a treasure map with clues scribbled on the reverse. Can YOU follow the trail and unearth the original treasured horns?

Please Note:

The Trail route follows pavements, paths and a riverside path, with some steps, cobbles and narrow pavements.

There are public toilets near the start, in the park in the middle and at the end of the Trail.

There is a wide selection of pubs, restaurants and cafes, mostly towards the end of the Trail route.

The Trail route passes all three Ripon Museums sites as well as the cathedral so allow plenty of time on your parking ticket if you plan to visit these too.

We have three super duper themed Clubs for your child to enjoy as part of their Treasure Trail experience.

Perfect for 4-8 year olds, the concept behind the Clubs is that your child will get a bundle of goodies to excite them about their forthcoming Trail experience, something to keep them entertained whilst travelling to and from the Trail, and something to be given on completion of the Trail as a keepsake.
