Her enemies rejoiced when she was imprisoned in the old wych-elm, but little did they know of the curse she would leave behind. Before her death, Toogood proclaimed that if the tree were to die, so too would the village of Ramsbury. For centuries, the curse lay forgotten until the tree finally withered away, revealing a hidden treasure that could hold the key to lifting the curse.
