With a devious device planted in the bridge's mechanism, it's only a matter of time before it's filled with industrial-strength glue and rendered useless. But YOU, secret agents, are our only hope. Can you follow the Trail, solve the clues and stop Rhona's fiendish plan in time?
Spy Mission Through Northwich - Rivers & Viaduct
Looking for an exciting and family-friendly adventure in Northwich? Look no further than this self-guided Spy Mission themed Treasure Trail. As you follow the Trail route, you'll need to put your spy skills to the test and solve the sneaky clues set on existing buildings, permanent features, and monuments. Can you crack the code and complete the mission like a true secret agent?
Starting at the top of Witton Street in the centre of town, this interesting circular Trail will take you through the High Street, with its striking black and white timbered buildings, and along the Dane and Weaver rivers. Keep an eye out for the unique electric swing bridges, as well as the Weaver Hall Museum, St Helen's Church, and the Edwardian Pumping Station.
Northwich is counting on you… Will you be able to stop Rhona's wicked plan and save the town's swing bridges from a sticky end?

This Trail is marked as not pushchair accessible as the route crosses several lock gates that can be very narrow.
Northwich plays host to monthly Artisan Markets, as well as an annual Pina Colada festival, which is usually held during August. This means that the route of the Trail may be disrupted during these events. For full details of the Pina Colada festival (and explanation!), click here.
