The canny folk of Shields are in a frenzy! Renowned local busker, Coaly Tyne, has vanished without a trace. Some say it was a case of jealousy among rival musicians, while others suspect the work of noise abatement fanatics. Coaly was known to use the Shields Ferry as a means to reach both sides of the Tyne, and it is believed that clues left along his usual stomping grounds will lead to the truth. Chief Inspector Nee Ideyar has reached out to TOP Detectives for help in solving the mystery. Will YOU and your team of super sleuths be able to crack the case and catch the culprit? This self-guided Treasure Hunt will take you on a thrilling journey through the historic towns of North and South Shields. As you follow the Trail route, keep your eyes peeled for sneaky clues hidden on existing buildings, permanent features, and monuments. Can you solve the clues and eliminate the suspects to uncover the truth behind Coaly Tyne's disappearance?
Start your adventure on either the north or south side of the Trail, and don't forget to solve one clue while crossing the river on the Shields Ferry. Make sure to take a break at the Fish Quay and enjoy some delicious fish and chips from one of the many restaurants. Will YOU be the one to crack the case and catch the crook?
