The Quest for the Legendary Recipe of Wor Jackie

Long ago, when Newcastle United was a force to be reckoned with, the legendary Toon player Wor Jackie Milburn discovered a recipe that brought the team success. Wor Jackie entrusted his friend, Ifor Getware, to safeguard the recipe by burying it on a secret island. But over the years, Ifor forgot the location and the story became a legend. Now, a map has been discovered that may lead to the recipe's whereabouts. But beware, supporters of a rival team also have a copy of the map. It's up to YOU, our most intrepid explorers, to solve the clues and find the recipe before anyone else does. Good luck!

The Secret of the Magpie's Silverware

What is a Treasure Trail?

Before You Set Off

Please Note:

We believe that the Trail route is suitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs, and for your dog to accompany you if you so wish. but you must note the following:

  • There is one clue that involves four steps to go and inspect a column by a door. Whoever checks the column returns to the pavement.
  • There are inclines to go up and a wheelchair user would need some assistance.
  • The Trail is around a busy city centre so a dog must be kept on a lead.
