Redcoat Recall: The Heidi High Hypno-Heist!

Can YOU silence Heidi’s hypnotic heist and save Minehead from 80s chaos?

Watch out, Minehead! Disgraced former redcoat-turned-rogue Heidi High is back - and this time, she’s bringing the noise. Using a web of sound towers hidden across the town, Heidi plans to beam out hypnotic '80s frequencies to brainwash locals and visitors alike into joining her cult of compulsory congas, forced fun, and terrifying team games.

But fear not - YOU have been recruited by Spy HQ to shut down her sinister system. Decode Heidi’s clues, dodge disco danger, and deactivate the towers before Minehead becomes trapped in a never-ending summer holiday nightmare.

What is a Treasure Trail?

Before You Set Off

Before you embark on your top-secret spy mission through Minehead, here are a few handy hints...

Navigation Advice - This mission sticks mostly to pavements and well-maintained paths, but be warned: there are some steep climbs up to North Hill, a few steps (including historic church ones), and cobbled sections - so it’s not fully wheelchair accessible. Spies with buggies will need to bring their A-game!

Bring Your Furry Sidekicks - Paws for thought: dogs are welcome on this mission! The Trail takes in green spaces like Blenheim Gardens, ideal for a tail-wagging break - just keep leads handy and check for any signs.

Parking Sorted! - There’s ample parking at or near the start point on the seafront. First try Warren Road Upper (TA24 5SJ). If occupied, reroute to Morrisons car park (TA24 6DG) or the Station (TA24 5AP). Most are pay-and-display, but offer all-day options.

Need the Loo? - Public toilets are available at:

- The Seafront (close to Clue 01 and the start of your mission)

- Summerland Car Park (between Clues 04 and 05)

- Blenheim Gardens (Clue 15)

Pit Stop Potential - As you make your way through the town, up to North Hill and down to the harbour area, you’ll pass cafés, kiosks, and even a few pubs. Handy for a quick refuel… or a stealthy spy snack!

Want to Make a Day of It?

Explore the Town’s Seaside Secrets - Take a stroll along the beach or Minehead Harbour - rumour has it enemy agents have been spotted in this area!

Walk the South West Coast Path - Feeling brave? Head for the famous monument marking the start of the South West Coast Path. From here, you could hike all the way to Poole… but maybe save that for another mission!

Hop Aboard the Steam Train - The West Somerset Railway offers a nostalgia-packed ride through the countryside. Bonus: it’s a great place to spot suspects at the station! You could also check out the free Minehead Museum in the nearby Beach Hotel Complex.

History Buffs Assemble! - Visit St Michael’s Church at the top of North Hill - not only is it stunning, but it’s also a brilliant viewpoint for surveying your mission zone.

Need Some R&R? - Blenheim Gardens is the perfect place to lay low or enjoy a calming cuppa during your mission. Just keep your eyes peeled for rogue redcoats…
