Spy Mission in Market Rasen - The Iron Horse Plot

Disgruntled jockey, Rhoda Luser, has threatened to seek revenge on the racehorses she believes are to blame for her recent run of bad form. Rhoda has bribed local farrier, Stan 'Un' Stable, to replace all of the rival horse's shoes with pure iron versions. She's then got her lackeys to install ultra strong magnet devices around Market Rasen Racecourse, ensuring the unlucky horses get stuck fast!

Here at Spy HQ we've uncovered the central control panel for these machines but need the code to turn it off. Luckily, we've snuck an undercover agent into Rhoda's inner circle, and they're drip-feeding us intel. We now need our best spies (YOU!) to solve the sneaky clues, crack the code and save the day.

Spy Mission Through Market Rasen - Racing Village

Are you looking for something to do with family and friends or seeking a fun day out with the kids in Market Rasen?

Then why not explore Market Rasen on this self-guided spy mission themed Treasure Trail. As you follow the Trail route, can you solve the sneaky clues set on existing buildings, permanent features and monuments to crack the code and complete the mission just like a true secret agent?

The Trail starts in Market Place and takes you on a circular route round the quiet streets of this curious old market town often described as 'The prettiest village in Lincolnshire' and which is inextricably linked to the famous racecourse.

What is a Treasure Trail?

Before You Set Off

This secret mission will take you around the centre of Market Rasen. You will be searching for clues along pavements and clear paths, making it suitable for all budding secret agents out there. If you're the type of secret agents who like to watch the pennies, the suggested car parks are free for the first two hours (you might just have to rush around a little!).

You'll never be too far from the town centre, where there are a number of spots to pick up provisions for your party if they start getting peckish. If bringing your own supplies, you could stop off to have a spy picnic at Market Rasen Park. Toilets can be found in John Street car park (LN8 3BN), near the Co-op supermarket which is not that far from the town centre.
