Calling all adventurers! It's time to put your skills to the test in this thrilling self-guided treasure hunt through the charming village of Llandaff. As you explore the winding streets, you'll be on the lookout for clues that will lead you to the missing bell of Llandaff Cathedral. But shhh…local historian Ivor Hunch doesn't want the villagers to know what he's up to, so you'll need to keep it a secret!
Treasure Hunt Through Llandaff
Join the ranks of the TOP Adventurers as you embark on a quest to help Ivor Hunch find the lost bell of Llandaff Cathedral. Your journey will take you through the heart of the village, past the ancient cathedral, along the roaring River Taff, and through the winding back streets. Keep your ears open for the sound of music as you navigate through the clangs and clappers of everyday life.
Local historian Ivor Hunch has uncovered new evidence that one of Llandaff Cathedral's lost bells is still in the village. This is a real breakthrough! He needs you, our best explorer, to solve the clues in the evidence and uncover the hidden bell location. Keep it secret, though - if locals find out what he's up to, they might claim the bell for themselves!

Before You Set Off
Before You Set Off
Before you set off on your awesome adventure to explore Llandaff (Llandaf), there are a few things you need to know...
The Bishop's Palace gardens are open daily from 9am to 7pm, so give yourself plenty of time to finish the Trail! There is unrestricted access to the cathedral churchyard at all times.
This route isn't friendly for pushchairs or wheelchair users as parts of the route are along a gravel footpath (which can get muddy), some stretches have no pavements, and there are a few steps near the cathedral.
Bring your four-legged friends along - this is a dog-friendly Trail! Please keep dogs on leads as the Trail does encounter open water and busy roads.
Your adventure begins at Llandaff High Street (CF5 2DX) pay and display car park, so we recommend parking here.
There is a place for a picnic right by the River Taff about halfway around the Trail. Or there are plenty of places for a pub or cafe stop at the start and end of the Trail in Llandaff High Street.
Looking for more things to do in Llandaff? Make a day of it and have a look around Bishop's Palace or Llandaff Cathedral. You could even challenge yourself to one of our Cardiff Trails!
