More Information:
Before you set off on your awesome adventure to explore Llanberis, there are a few things you need to know...
The gates to the country park close at 8pm, so plan your investigation accordingly.
The route isn’t friendly for wheelchair users and pushchairs due to steep unpaved slopes, narrow bridges to cross and a narrow kissing gate.
Only bring your four-legged friends along if you have a member of the squad who can wait with them outside the churchyard while the rest of you crack the clues in this pup-restricted area. Please note that the country park is happy for well-behaved dogs on short leads to visit, although they aren’t allowed in the cafe (there are undercover areas for dogs and their owners), the film show, and the miner's cottages.
The closest long stay pay and display car park to the Trail start point is at Padern Country Park near the Slate Museum (LL55 4TY), where your curious case begins.
There are some fantastic events in Llanberis’ calendar, all of which are great times to visit this beautiful village. However, you may find that some of the clues on this Trail may become obstructed or difficult to access on these occasions. If you would like further information about event dates, please contact Llanberis Tourist Information Centre.
There are public toilets available during the first half of the Trail, and the route passes several pubs and a few cafes along the way.
Looking for more things to do in Llanberis? Make a day of it and take an unforgettable trip on the Snowdon Mountain Railway or take a peek inside the National Slate Museum to learn more twisting tales about the heritage of North Wales.
