The Hunt for the Infamous Bucket List Gang's Stolen Gold!

Rumours of stolen gold echo through the vibrant city of Liverpool. Legend has it that the bungling brothers, Ike and Fess Yeronner, along with their gang, the Bucket Listers, robbed the Bank of Liverpool of thousands of golden coins years ago. But as they attempted to escape, they were caught and brought to trial at St George's Hall Crown Courts. The gang never revealed the location of the hidden loot, but recently a map was discovered in St John's Garden that is believed to lead to the missing treasure.

Now, it's up to YOU to follow the trail, solve the clues, and find the gold before the descendants of the Bucket List gang do! Can you beat them to the loot?

What is a Treasure Trail?

Before You Set Off

Before you set off on your awesome adventure to explore Liverpool, there are a few things you need to know...

This Trail has been written with younger explorers in mind! All the clues have a picture to find, enabling pre-readers to join in the search and be able to get involved with many of the easier clues on this Trail, with guidance and help from adults or older siblings. Adults will need to help out with the directions and reading, but the whole family will be able to work together to find the 'treasure'.

The route isn’t friendly for wheelchair users and pushchairs.

Bring your four-legged friends along! Please note that it is a busy city centre, so dogs will need to be kept on leads.

The closest pay and display car parks to the Trail start point are at Lime Street Railway Station (L3 5QB) or St John’s Shopping Centre (L1 1NQ), both just a two-minute walk away.

There are some fantastic events in Liverpool's calendar, all of which are great times to visit this beautiful city. However, you may find that some of the clues on this Trail become obstructed or difficult to access on these occasions. If you would like further information about event dates, please contact Liverpool Tourist Information.

There are public toilets available at the station, and the route passes several pubs, snack shops and a few cafes along the way. St John’s Gardens, where your quest begins, is a great picnic spot.

Looking for more things to do in Liverpool? Make a day of it and visit the nearby World Museum or see the city sights from up high on The Liverpool Wheel! If you fancy another challenge, you could have a go at one of the other Trails in our Liverpool collection.

Once a year, the Bucket List gang (the nasty pasties in this Trail) make it especially hard for you to discover the loot by arranging a Christmas Market all around St George’s Hall for the six weeks leading up to Christmas. Be of brave heart and not be fearful – just search extra hard and diligently. We know you can do it…
