As Mrs Jackie Sparrow dusted her antique Gillow writing desk, she stumbled upon a secret drawer containing a treasure map and notebook filled with Clues to Sparrow's hidden hoard of pirate gold. But little did she know, she also unleashed the spirit of her ancestor's deadly rival, Captain Spook, and his crew of ghostly pirates. Treasure Hunt Through Lancaster's Past

Get ready for a spooky self-guided adventure through the streets of Lancaster! Your journey will take you through the city's Georgian alleyways, squares, and streets before reaching the medieval Lancaster Castle and Priory. Then, it's off to the riverside and historic St George's Quay, where you'll unlock twisting tales and unravel the mystery of Sparrow's treasure.

Please Note:

There are some steep hills on this Trail (it does visit a medieval castle after all!) but there are some wonderful views to the Lake District mountains that make them worthwhile! There are also a number of flights of steps that make it unsuitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs.


This Trail is dog friendly, however, if you also wanted to visit the castle on your way around, please be aware you will not be able to take your furry friend in with you.
