But beware, the unscrupulous plastic surgeon, Dr Boe Tocks, is determined to destroy the potion and protect his livelihood. Begin your adventure outside the Tourist Information Centre in the centre of Knaresborough. From there, you'll journey through the town's main sights before heading down to the picturesque River Nidd for a scenic riverside walk. Finally, make your way back up through Bebra Gardens to finish at the castle, where you'll be rewarded with stunning views of the river.

Please Note:

This Trail follows ancient walkways, cobbled paths and quiet roads with some steps and steep sections along the way. Therefore it is unsuitable for wheelchair and pushchair users.

Public Toilets are available at several spots along the route and are well signed.

For refreshments, you're never too far from a pub or cafe in Knaresborough. On a nice day, Bebra Gardens is a nice spot for a picnic towards the end of the Trail.

We have three super duper themed Clubs for your child to enjoy as part of their Treasure Trail experience.

Perfect for 4-8 year olds, the concept behind the Clubs is that your child will get a bundle of goodies to excite them about their forthcoming Trail experience, something to keep them entertained whilst travelling to and from the Trail, and something to be given on completion of the Trail as a keepsake.
