We've got a mission for you in
Ipswich
Congratulations Tango Tango 1-5 on securing the virus and therefore completing Phase 1 of your mission! But the mission isn't over yet. You must now exfiltrate yourself and your team out of the area and get the virus back to HQ so an antidote can be developed. The command centre will activate the recovery plan on receipt of the secure code. However, because of enemy agent activity, this code has been "scrambled". A team of friendly partisans has set a number of clues around the local area, and it's up to you to solve them all to reveal the code.
Spy Mission Through Ipswich
Slippery spies, this mission just got serious! Your self-guided Spy Mission Trail will have you tiptoeing through the heart of Ipswich, weaving through the town centre and around the waterfront. You'll need to act like a true Secret Agent to avoid being intercepted as you carry out the next phase of this vital operation. Tango Tango 1-5, the fate of the country is in your hands!
The first phase of your assignment is complete - you've secured the virus and must return it to HQ so our science-whizzes can concoct the antidote. But enemy spies are desperate to thwart your mission! We need to initiate the recovery plan to get you out of there, but first, you need to supply us with the correct activation code. Our field agents have scattered clues to the scrambled code around Ipswich. We know you have what it takes to solve the clues and crack the code. Good luck!

Navigating The Route
This is a circular spy mission through Ipswich’s Waterfront and town centre, with agents following pavements and clear paths as they work to recover the scrambled recovery code and safely exfiltrate.
The route is mostly along well maintained pavements and paths, making it suitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs.
Important: You will be travelling through busy town streets and crossing multiple roads, as well as walking close to open water along the Waterfront, so agents should use pedestrian crossings where available, stay alert at all times and keep younger operatives under close supervision.
HQ also advises staying well back from the water’s edge, as enemy agents may be “patrolling” below the surface… 👀
Getting There
Time to deploy your agents and begin the mission:
By car: Park at Cardinal Retail Park Car Park, Grafton Way (IP1 1AX) - the recommended place to park your spymobile.
By public transport: Ipswich town centre is well served by bus routes and rail services, with the station within walking distance of the Waterfront and start point.
Need the Loo?
Even elite agents need a quick comfort break! Toilets can be found in the Buttermarket Shopping Centre, near Clue 08.
Bring Your Furry Sidekicks
Four-legged agents are welcome on this mission 🐾. With a mix of town streets and waterfront paths, it’s a great outing for canine companions - just keep leads handy near roads and along the water.
Food & Drink Stops
Agents, there are plenty of chances to refuel! You’ll pass through the central shopping and waterfront areas, where there are numerous cafés, restaurants and shops to grab supplies or take a break.
It’s a good idea to take advantage of these earlier in the mission before heading deeper into the operation.
