What is a Treasure Trail?

Before You Set Off

Before you set off on your awesome adventure to explore Wymeswold, there are a few things you need to know...

The route is friendly for wheelchair users and pushchairs.

Bring your four-legged friends along! Please note that part of the route is along a busy main road, so sniffer dogs will need to be kept on leads.

The best place to park your squad car is by the green on The Stockwell, close to the large chapel (LE12 6UF).

There are some fantastic events in Wymeswold’s calendar, all of which are great times to visit this beautiful village. However, you may find that some of the Clues on this Trail may become obstructed or difficult to access on these occasions. Please check for events in advance.

There are no public toilets and limited refreshment options, so be prepared and pack a picnic to enjoy along the way.

Looking for more things to do near Wymeswold? Make a day of it and head to Loughborough – just a 10-minute drive away – once you’ve cracked the case. Here, you could travel along the Great Central Railway heritage line, relax in Queen’s Park or visit Charnwood Museum to learn more twisting tales about the area. You could even challenge yourself to our Loughborough Trail and let out your inner daring detective once again!
