Just make sure you don't have a coffin fit on the way round…

What is a Treasure Trail?

Before You Set Off

Navigating The Route

This is a circular investigation around Huntly’s historic castle, leafy avenues and town centre, with detectives following pavements and clear paths as they track down crucial evidence.

The route is mostly level and well-surfaced, making it suitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs, though there is one short detour along the way which is clearly pointed out in the Trail. Take care when crossing roads and moving through car parks as you patrol.

Getting There

Time to assemble your squad and open the case file:

Huntly Castle Car Park (AB54 4SH) - Your official investigation start and finish point, right beside a handy picnic site.

Need the Loo?

Even top detectives need a comfort break during a long case!

Public toilets can be found at:

Market Muir Car Park, Steven Street (AB54 8JY)

Best visited before your investigation gets too… hairy.

Bring Your Furry Sidekicks

Four-legged detectives are welcome on the case.

With castle grounds, town streets and open areas to explore, it’s a great outing for canine companions - just keep leads handy near roads and in busier spots.

Food & Drink Stops

You won’t be short of refuelling options on this case!

The start and finish point by Huntly Castle doubles as a great picnic spot, and as you investigate, you’ll pass shops, cafés and restaurants in the town centre - perfect for a mid-case break or a post-investigation treat.
