The Case of the Mysterious Rugby Star
Uh-oh! Rugby league star Arf Bach (brother of Phil) was recently discovered turned over in the car park of the John Smith Stadium… had he been the recipient of a hospital pass? The police have been busy tackling this inquiry, but try as they might, their poor conversion rate when it comes to cracking crime has caught them offside. Detective Chief Inspector Hopper Nunder has now spat out his dummy and demanded his team hand over to some top detectives (YOU!) willing to give this case a punt. Are you ready to intercept this investigation and prop up the good name of the police? Now is the time to make your mark, nimbly sidestep any obstructions put in your way and drop kick the guilty party into touch! Just don't get into a scrum or you might receive a mauling from the Chief and pay the penalty…

Before You Set Off
Before You Set Off
Before you set off on your awesome adventure to explore Huddersfield, there are a few things you need to know...
The route isn’t friendly for wheelchair users and pushchairs as there are a number of steps and bridges to navigate, plus a section along a canal towpath.
Bring your four-legged friends along! Please note that it is a busy town centre, so dogs will need to be kept on leads.
The closest long-stay pay and display car park to the Trail start point is at Huddersfield Station (HD1 1JB), where your case begins, although there are other car parks nearby that may be cheaper and/or have more spaces available.
There are some fantastic events in Huddersfield’s calendar, all of which are great times to visit this brilliant town. However, you may find that some of the clues on this Trail become obstructed or difficult to access on these occasions. If you would like further information about event dates, please contact Huddersfield Tourist Information.
There are public toilets available towards the beginning and end of the Trail, and the route passes several pubs, restaurants, cafes and snack shops before Clue 05 and after Clue 13.
Looking for more things to do in Huddersfield? Make a day of it and visit Huddersfield Art Gallery, or head just out of town and visit the Tolson Museum to learn more twisting tales about Huddersfield’s history.
