In the quaint town of Howden, a scandal has rocked the community. The town's beloved jeweller, Fay Kemralds, was found dead in her shop. It turns out that she had been selling cheap imitation jewels as genuine, angering the honest traders of Howden. Now, the detective leading the case, Willie Solvit, needs YOUR help to solve the clues and uncover the culprit.

The Trail begins in the Market Place, taking you through the charming town of Howden. Along the way, you'll pass quaint shops, historic buildings, and even the Bishop's Manor House. Take a stroll through Ashes Playing Fields and admire the stunning Minster with its famous chancel ruins.

Please Note: The gates to Howden Minster (Clues 19 & 20) are only open during daylight hours.
Starting in the central market square you will immediately be drawn to the quaint shops and historic buildings. Do not fear, you will return here later so will have plenty of opportunity to sample the wares on offer.
This detective mystery Walking Trail is 1.5 miles in length and will last about 1.5 hours. It is suitable for pushchairs, wheelchairs and all ages!
You will need to cross a short section of grassed area in Ashes Playing Fields. Therefore, suitable footwear will be necessary in bad weather and pushchair and wheelchair users may require assistance to cross any muddy patches.
