Belligerent boffin Dr Gee-Gee Steed has always had a nagging fear of horses. Every time he trots past the Kilburn White Horse, he gets the jitters and gallops away. But now, he has a devious plan to alleviate his fears by staining the Horse's white limestone chips dark green! This will render the stunning stallion invisible to anyone passing by. Local residents are in uproar and have asked Spy HQ to bring in the cavalry… YOU!! Can you solve the clues that will save the day and keep the Horse from disappearing?

Are you ready for an adventure through the Hambleton Hills? Join us on this self-guided spy mission themed Treasure Trail that will take you on an exciting journey from Sowerby to Sutton Bank. As you follow the Trail route, you'll have to use your spy skills to solve sneaky clues hidden on existing buildings, permanent features, and monuments, just like a true secret agent.
The Trail starts in Sowerby, just outside Thirsk. As you make your way through the villages and countryside, you'll discover the inspiration behind the adventures of James Herriot, author and vet. Can you crack the code and complete the mission before reaching the Sutton Bank Visitor Centre?

There is now a charge to park at the Kilburn Forest car park where the Kilburn White Horse is. If you don't want to pay twice for parking, you have the option of quickly solving the one clue here or just continue up to the Sutton Bank National Park Centre, pay for parking there, and then walk back down to the White Horse (3 miles there and back).
