The Great Veggie Whodunnit: Lettuce Investigate!

Hebden Bridge was buzzing as Nutbean Herbivore, the town's newest vegetarian cafe, was about to open. Run by the charming Artie Choke, the cafe promised to be the next big dill with its plant-based delights. But disaster struck on the eve of the opening when Artie was found slumped among his fava beans. Soy sad! Who had it in for poor Artie? Was it rival cafe owner Patty O'Burger, trying to ketchup to Artie's success? Or Kale Green, the farmer whose prize veg Artie decided to leaf off the menu? Or even Rosemary Sage, Artie's bitter but wise ex-business partner, who'd warned him not to overextend? With their alibis all solid, Detective Chief Inspector Brock O'Lee was in a real pickle and completely corn-fused. He's vowed to get to the root of this mystery before the town's excitement wilts. Thyme is of the essence - are you all ready to turnip every clue?

What is a Treasure Trail?

Before You Set Off

Please Note:

Hebden Bridge can be very busy in summer time and there is very limited parking around the town. We suggest that Trailers arrive in Hebden via public transport if possible, preferably by train where you have the option of starting the Trail from the station.

The route is mainly along pavements around the town, a gravel path along the canal and some steps (hence not suitable for wheelchairs).

The Trail route can occasionally be interrupted by the Arts Festival, so please click here to check their website to see when the next event takes place.
