Navigating The Route

This is a circular Spy Mission around Harrow-on-the-Hill, with Agents helping Agent Cam O'Flage decipher the code and stop Dr Benton Mayhem from unleashing one hundred moles at Wembley Stadium.

The mission covers 2 miles and should take around 2 hours to complete. You'll start on College Road outside Harrow-on-the-Hill Station entrance, head through the town centre and Perceval Square, climb up towards Harrow School, investigate historic streets around the hill and church, then make your way back towards Harrow-on-the-Hill station.

This Trail is not suitable for wheelchairs or pushchairs. Please note there is a steep hill on this route, including a steady incline for about one-third of a mile as you climb to Harrow School. There is also a railway bridge, a zebra crossing, alleyway and footpath sections, busy roads and a hill descent near the end where a handrail is provided.

Take great care crossing busy roads, including one stretch with no marked pedestrian crossing at the lights. Keep Mini Agents close on the hill descent and through the alleyway and footpath sections. In clear weather, look out for views across the southern counties as your operation unfolds.

Getting There

By car: Start your mission on College Road outside Harrow-on-the-Hill Station entrance, on the town centre side (HA1 1FD). Parking for your undercover vehicle is at Harrow-on-the-Hill Station entrance.

By public transport: Harrow-on-the-Hill Station is on the London Underground Metropolitan line and the London to Aylesbury overground service. Make your way to College Road outside the station entrance on the town centre side to begin the operation.

Public toilets are available at the station, so make a tactical comfort stop before the code-cracking begins or when you return to the station area.

Bring Your Furry Sidekicks

This route includes busy roads, a railway bridge, a steep climb, a hill descent and alleyway or footpath sections, so keep canine recruits close, especially around traffic and on the steeper parts of the operation.

Food & Drink Stops

Stopping Dr Benton Mayhem is hungry work. There are plenty of chances to stop for refreshments and stock up on snacks near the start, end and on top of the hill.

If you are packing your own rations, Byron's View and The Grove green space are good picnic opportunities along the route.

Harrow School

The mission climbs up to explore around one of London's oldest schools, perched on the hill above the station. Harrow football is still played there today - a slightly bonkers ancestor of the beautiful game, with a ball shaped more like a pork pie than a sphere.

Harrow-on-the-Hill Churchyard and Church

The route takes Agents into the churchyard and around the church, with clues visible from the path. It is also a good place to pause and admire the view before pressing on with the anti-mole operation.

The Long Ducker

Every November, the entire Harrow School takes part in a 10-mile dash called the 'Long Ducker'. It is named after John Lyon, who helped fund the highway they run along, and finishes with a slog up the hill from Marble Arch back to the school - which should put your own climb into perspective.

Harrow School Old Buildings and Historic Streets

Take time to enjoy the old streets and buildings around Harrow-on-the-Hill once the intel has been secured. The mission passes historic buildings, the High Street, Church Hill, Crown Street and other characterful corners, with scenic views across the southern counties in clear weather.
