It all began on a stormy winter night in February 1646, when the General of the King's Army was forced to flee his headquarters at the Black Horse Inn in Great Torrington. In his haste, he left behind a fortune in gold, silver, and other treasures, which were never recovered after the battle.

For generations, the legend of the missing treasure has captured the imagination of adventurers, with many believing it was lost forever in the chaos. But now, a map and a set of curious clues have been unearthed during excavations of the inn, leading to the discovery of a clever young lad who buried the treasure to keep it safe from looters.
