The Lost Manuscript of Lakeland Poet Milliard Worthwows
The literary world has been set ablaze with the discovery of a long-lost manuscript by the legendary Lakeland poet, Milliard Worthwows. The delicate verses, believed to be written by Worthwows' muse, Luvva Sonnet, and a detailed map of an island have been unearthed by the Grasmere builders, Tenny Coleridge & Son, during a recent hotel renovation. But the manuscript has yet to be found.
Here at the Poetic Intrepid Explorer Society (PIES), we believe that Luvva Sonnet's verses are actually a series of clues that will lead the way to the location of this monumental missing work. Are YOU brave enough to take on this challenge and recover the manuscript, wowing the world with Worthwows' worthy writings?

Please Note:
The route around the village is flat and level, including footpaths and an accessible riverside path. There are short sections on quiet lanes with no pavement. One section involves a narrow country footpath but an alternative route is given for pushchair and wheelchair users.
There are public toilets in the car park at the start and in the middle of the village.
A good range of cafes and pubs for refreshment can be found in the centre of the village which you'll be in shortly after the start and will also return to at the end of the Trail.
