The Missing Medieval Golgotha - Can YOU Save Cullompton?

Something sinister is afoot in the picturesque town of Cullompton. The infamous Dr Ernest Kebab-ros Blowtorch has hatched a dastardly plan to dehydrate the townsfolk with his devious device that emits an overwhelming smell of delicious food. And to make matters worse, he has stolen the town's prized Medieval Golgotha from St Andrew's Church!

Thankfully, the Motorway 5 Intelligence (M5I) agents have located his suspected base beneath the nearby Motorway service station. But they need your help, Double Oh-Devon, [Licence to Grill]. Are you ready to put your detective skills to the test and save Cullompton?

What is a Treasure Trail?

Before You Set Off

Before you set off on your awesome adventure, there are a few things you need to know...

This route is not marked as friendly for wheelchair users due to some narrow pavements and three steps, although those with light pushchairs should find this manageable. The narrow streets in this Trail can get busy at weekends, so patience is advised.

Why not bring your four-legged friends along? Please note that it's a busy town centre, so dogs will need to be kept on leads.

There is a pay and display car park at the Trail start point: Forge Way (EX15 1AG). Alternatively, if this is full, St Andrews Road (EX15 1LN) is available nearby but you will need to make your way to Forge Way to then start your mission.

There are some great events in Cullompton's calendar, all of which are perfect times to visit this fascinating town. However, you may find that some of the clues on this Trail may become obstructed or difficult to access on these occasions.

There are public toilets available between clues 02 and 03, and the route passes several pubs, a few cafes and several shops along the way. During the latter part of the Trail, you'll be exploring along the edge of a park and a river, so why not bring a picnic with you and soak up the ambiance?

Why not extend your visit and experience The Walronds or St Andrew's Church (home of possibly the most unique medieval Golgotha in the world!) for a cultural and historical fix? Once finished in the town, nearby attractions Diggerland and The Bear Trail can help younger agents burn off any excess energy!
