It was a normal day for world-famous actress Holly Wood, until she realized her priceless diamond and sapphire ring was missing. She had entrusted it to her faithful personal assistant, Bet Clumsy, to take it to a jeweller to be valued. But on her way back from the jeweller, Bet tripped on a pebble and the ring went flying into the undergrowth beside the river. When she eventually came to, Bet couldn't find the ring anywhere. Where could it be?

Could some unscrupulous passerby have taken it? Maybe it landed on a passing boat? Or, perhaps a cheeky bird saw it glinting in the undergrowth and flew off with it? Bet is beside herself with worry that she will lose her job (or even worse!) if Holly's ring is not recovered.
