The Chester Roaming around the Walls Treasure Trail starts at:
We have three super duper themed Clubs for your child to enjoy as part of their Treasure Trail experience.
Perfect for 4-8 year olds, the concept behind the Clubs is that your child will get a bundle of goodies to excite them about their forthcoming Trail experience, something to keep them entertained whilst travelling to and from the Trail, and something to be given on completion of the Trail as a keepsake.

This route is unfortunately not suitable for wheelchair users or pushchairs due to several sets of steps along the walls.
Bring your four-legged friends along! Please note that dogs will need to be kept on a lead throughout the Trail. It would be best if they are happy around lots of people as the walls can be very popular with visitors.
The Trail starts at Little Roodee pay and display car park, so we recommend parking here. Or, why not use Chester's fantastic park and ride service? Take the Blue Line bus, hop off at the "HQ" stop and you're less than a minute away from the start point!
Chester's walls are one of the main attractions so can get quite busy, especially during peak periods (such as during the Christmas Markets). Once a year, usually in May, the Little Roodee car park is closed for Chester's funfair. You may find that some of the Clues on this Trail may become obstructed or difficult to access on these occasions. If you would like further information, please contact Chester's Visitor Information.
There are public toilets available in the Little Roodee car park cafe, and the route passes several points where you can leave the walls to discover the various refreshment stops Chester has to offer.
This is the fifth Trail in Chester and as it is such a compact city, the Trail routes do overlap in places and all other Trails go onto the walls at one or more points. Where there is a common feature such as the Eastgate Clock, there are unique Clues to solve at that location.
Why not make a day of it and visit Grosvenor Museum to learn more about Chester's fascinating history, or treat yourself with some retail therapy? You could even extend your adventuring and have a go at one of our other Chester Trails!
