A Detective Mystery in Bridport
Join us in Bridport for an exciting self-guided detective mystery themed Treasure Trail. As you follow the Trail route, use your exceptional skills in detection to solve the sneaky clues set on existing buildings, permanent features, and monuments. Can you eliminate the suspects and discover what happened to Paul D'Ropes?
This circular Trail starts at the Bridport Football Club, where cheap parking is available for the day. Bridport is a charming ancient town famous for the hangman's noose, the Bridport Dagger. As you explore the town, keep an eye out for any suspicious activity and follow the clues to unravel the mystery of Paul D'Ropes' disappearance.

Navigating The Route
This is a circular investigation through Bridport’s town centre, with detectives following pavements, paths and some roadside stretches as they piece together the evidence. The route is relatively short and straightforward, but there are a few areas with no pavement and sections beside open water, so take care when crossing roads and keep a close eye on your team near the river.
Getting There
Time to assemble your squad and report for duty:
Bridport Football Club Overflow Car Park (DT6 5LA) - Your official investigation starting point.
From here, you’ll head out on foot to begin gathering clues and tracking down suspects.
Need the Loo?
Even top detectives need a quick break during a long case!
Public toilets can be found at the bus station towards the later stages of your investigation (after Clue 20). There are also plenty of cafés, pubs and eateries along the way - ideal for a quick refuel between clues.
Bring Your Furry Sidekicks
Four-legged detectives are welcome to join the case. There are plenty of town paths to explore, but keep leads handy near roads and when working close to the river.
On The Case - Safety First
Parts of your investigation take place beside the river with deep, open water, so detectives must tread carefully and keep well back from the edge. Some streets along the route also lack pavements, so stay alert, cross safely and keep your squad close as you follow the trail of clues.
