Wool You Help Save the Bampton Fair?

Oh no! The annual Bampton Fair is in jeopardy as local sheep farmer, Hughie-Ewe Shearingup, has met an untimely end at the hands of an unknown assailant. Without Hughie's prized fleeces, there's a real chance that this year's fair won't go ahead. But fear not! The new Chief in town, DCI Ineda Clew-Tusolv, is determined to crack the case and bring the culprit to justice.

Bamp-ton in Crisis

Join forces with DCI Clew-Tusolv and become part of an exciting self-guided walking adventure through the charming town of Bampton. As you explore, you'll uncover clues, solve puzzles, and eliminate suspects in order to save the fair. But beware, Chief has a "sheepish" feeling that Hughie's long-time rival, Brittany Shears, may be involved.

Your journey begins at the Bampton Town Hall, where you'll receive your mission briefing. From there, you'll make your way through the town, passing by local landmarks, quaint shops, and scenic countryside. Keep your eyes peeled for hidden clues and cleverly disguised evidence that will lead you closer to solving the case.

The fate of the Bampton Fair is in your hands... Will you be able to save the day?

What is a Treasure Trail?

Before You Set Off

Before you set off on your awesome adventure to explore Bampton, there are a few things you need to know...

The route is pushchair accessible though the terrain is hilly in parts of the Trail. Lighter pushchairs should handle it fine.

PLEASE NOTE - Most of the Trail is dog-friendly but they are not allowed in the castle area (Clues 14 &15), so one of your team will have to wait outside with them. Also, most parts of the Trail are along a main road, so dogs will need to be kept on leads.

The Trail start point is the Station Road Car Park (EX16 9GE).

There are some fantastic events in Bampton's calendar, all of which are great times to visit this beautiful town. However, you may find that some of the clues on this Trail may become obstructed or difficult to access on these occasions. We recommend checking for events before you set off on your investigation.

There are public toilets available in the car park at the beginning and end of the Trail, and the route passes several pubs, cafes and shops along the way. There's also a playpark halfway through the Trail, so any younger members of your team can let off some steam if needed!
