More Information:

Navigating The Route

This is a circular spy mission through Amersham’s historic Old Town, memorial areas, woodland edges and open fields, with agents following pavements, unmade roads and grassy paths as they work to stop Ivana Lott’s soggy scheme.

The route includes some uphill walking (notably up Rectory Hill), uneven terrain, grassy paths and unmade tracks, so it is not suitable for wheelchairs or pushchairs.

Important: Parts of the mission involve crossing or walking alongside roads, and there are also sections with muddy or slippery ground after rain, so agents should take care underfoot, stay alert near traffic and keep younger operatives under close supervision at all times.

Getting There

By Car: Amersham Old Town Pay & Display Car Park, off The Broadway (HP7 0UT) - Your undercover base and official mission starting point.

By public transport: Amersham is served by both rail and London Underground (Metropolitan Line) services, with Amersham Station located just over a mile from the Old Town. From the station, you can walk or take a short taxi ride down to the starting point.

Need the Loo?

Even elite agents need a quick comfort break!

Public toilets can be found in the Old Town Car Park near the start and end of your mission.

Bring Your Furry Sidekicks

Four-legged agents are welcome on this mission 🐾. With a mix of town streets, grassy paths and open areas, it’s a great outing for canine companions - just keep leads handy near roads, fields and livestock.

Food & Drink Stops

Agents, you’re well covered for supplies on this mission! You’ll pass a variety of cafés, restaurants and picturesque pubs as you explore the Old Town, making it easy to refuel mid-mission.

If the weather’s on your side, Rectory Hill (around Clues 06–07) is a brilliant picnic spot - perfect for reviewing your intel with a view.

Historic Streets & Timber-Framed Charm

Amersham Old Town is packed with character, from timber-framed buildings to centuries-old inns. It’s like stepping straight into a period drama - ideal for a covert investigation.

Memorials, Martyrs & Hidden Stories

From the Garden of Remembrance to tales of the Amersham Martyrs, this mission weaves through some fascinating (and slightly darker) local history.

Museum & Film Locations

Amersham has appeared in everything from Four Weddings and a Funeral to Midsomer Murders. The local museum is well worth a visit if you fancy digging deeper into the town’s story.

Mini Secret Agent Club

We have three super duper themed Clubs for your child to enjoy as part of their Treasure Trail experience.

Perfect for 4-8 year olds, the concept behind the Clubs is that your child will get a bundle of goodies to excite them about their forthcoming Trail experience, something to keep them entertained whilst travelling to and from the Trail, and something to be given on completion of the Trail as a keepsake.
