Perfect for 4-8 year olds, the concept behind the Clubs is that your child will get a bundle of goodies to excite them about their forthcoming Trail experience, something to keep them entertained whilst travelling to and from the Trail, and something to be given on completion of the Trail as a keepsake.

Before you set off on your awesome adventure to explore Abergavenny (Y Fenni), there are a few things you need to know...
A couple of the clues in this Trail are set on Abergavenny Castle grounds. Access to the grounds is free, although charges may apply at some special events. The castle is closed on Wednesdays in the low season. It is open from 11am-4pm, so make sure you give yourselves plenty of time to complete the Trail.
You'll also be visitng the Linda Vista Gardens, which close at 6pm.
The route is not friendly for wheelchair users and pushchairs due to steps, uneven terrain and narrow pavements.
There are a couple of clues set within an area of restricted access for dogs. Please only bring your four-legged friends along if a member of your expedition team is able to wait with them while you locate these clues.
The closest long-stay pay and display car park to the Trail start point is at Castle Street (NP7 5EE), just a two-minute walk away.
There are some fantastic events in Abergavenny’s calendar, all of which are fantastic times to visit this beautiful town. However, you may find that some of the clues on this Trail may become obstructed or difficult to access on these occasions. There are public toilets available towards the beginning of the Trail and just before Clues 06 and 10. The route passes several pubs, cafes, shops and the market between Clues 07-15, and there’s a great picnic spot at Clue 19.
Looking for more things to do in Abergavenny? Make a day of it and visit Abergavenny Museum at the castle or take a peek inside the Tithe Barn to learn more twisting tales about the market town’s past. Or, if you’re feeling adventurous, the Blorenge and Sugar Loaf peaks are nearby, just waiting to be climbed up!
