Can You Stop Gravesend Going Overboard?
Attention all agents!
A serious situation is bubbling up in Gravesend, where a daft but dangerous plot threatens to throw the waterfront into total chaos. A shadowy figure has been tampering with the tide, sending water levels wildly out of control - swamping the riverside one moment, then leaving boats and ferries stuck fast the next. Vital shutdown codes have been lost across town, and a shady crew is already on the move to recover them first. Your mission is to track down the hidden clues, piece together the missing codewords and stop the chaos before Gravesend is left in a right old soggy mess!
Spy Mission Through Gravesend
Prepare for an action-packed spy adventure through the historic heart of Gravesend as you hunt for the missing intel. Starting in the town centre, you'll head through bustling streets, search near the waterfront and explore tucked-away corners as you follow the trail of clues. But this mission won't be plain sailing - the twisted mastermind behind the scheme has done their best to keep the codes out of reach.
Along the way, you'll need sharp eyes, clever thinking and excellent agent instincts to stay one step ahead of the enemy. Every clue solved brings you closer to stopping the plan and restoring order - before the tide causes even more trouble!
Gravesend is counting on you, agents - can you crack the codes in time?

Before You Set Off
Before You Set Off
Easy to Navigate
Your mission to save Gravesend from impending watery disruption starts near the railway station and ventures along a route that explores a mix of urban, park and riverside environments. As it's along paved surfaces with drop-kerbs, it is suitable for all agents. Check the weather ahead before travelling, as some sections, particularly around the park near the river can be flooded after it's been particularly wet!
Bring Your Furry Sidekicks
Bring your four-legged spy-hounds along on the mission. While the Trail does explore an urban setting, there are still plenty of sniff-worthy leg-stretching opportunities along the way. We recommend keeping them on leads around the town centre - but around Gordon park and promenade, they can freely seek out missing coded messages with you!
Getting to the start
There are several convenient options for reaching the infiltration point:
Gravesend railway station: (Gravesend, DA11 0HP, W3W: ///page.patio.neat). The mission begins outside the train station entrance on Clive Road, so why not make a rail-day of it?
Bus stops are at Garrick Street, (DA11 0AF, W3W: ///paths.dirt.once) or Barrack Row, (DA11 0RT, W3W: ///spun.grab.vase). Either of these options ae a short distance away from the start point.
The nearest parking to the start is at Thamesgate Shopping Centre, Anglesea Place, (DA11 0AU, W3W: ///task.define.rushed), also handy for some post-mission retail therapy once you've successfully saved the day!
Need the Loo?
Facilities can be found at key locations:
Gravesend Station, (DA11 0HP, W3W: ///driven.jacket.broken)
Gordon Gardens / Promenade, (DA12 2AT, W3W: ///delay.rock.submit)
Borough Market, (DA11 0AZ, W3W: ///return.blunt.impose)
Want to Make a Day of It?
Hilltop Views and Windy Wonderings...
Windmill Hill and Gardens, (DA12 1LQ, W3W: ///hung.claps.piper) makes a brilliant extra stop if agents still have a bit of puff left after the mission! Set on high ground near the town centre, it offers wide reaching views over Gravesend and the river, along with gardens and a play area for younger recruits. It's a great place to catch your breath, enjoy the scenery and keep watch for any suspicious follow-up tide-twisting activity below.
Park Time and Post-Mission Picnics
Woodlands Park, (217 Wrotham Road, DA11 7LF, W3W: ///shell.gross.gown) is also a cracking choice for families who fancy swapping clue-cracking for café stops, green space and a good old run about. It's a large expanse of greenery just outside the heart of Gravesend, making it a handy place to stretch the day a little further once the secret codes have been cracked.
Shows, Screens and Secret-Agent Treats
If your team prefers its adventures with comfy seats and a curtain call, The Woodville theatre complex is a top shout! (Woodville Place, DA12 1DD, W3W: ///scenes.line.glee). This town-centre venue hosts everything from live music and family shows to comedy, exhibitions and Gravesend's only cinema screen, so there's every chance your mission day can end with popcorn, drama and not a single villainous henchman in sight. Hopefully.
Canal Wanders and Waterside Curiosity
The Thames and Medway Canal (67 Mark Lane, DA12 2QA, W3W: ///curve.sulk.patrol) is a lovely option for visitors who want to keep the watery theme going. It's a good pick for a gentler post-mission stroll or cycle with a side order of history, fresh air and peaceful canalside exploring.
Pedal Power and Wheels at the Ready
For families with energy still fizzing after the finale, Cyclopark, (The Tollgate, Watling Street, DA11 7NP, W3W: ///heave.poetic.baked) is ready to save the day! Set across 100 acres of parkland, it's described as a major local hub for cycling, running and extreme sports, so it's perfect for recruits who prefer their post-mission fun with a bit more zoom. Less 'quiet riverside reflection', more 'right, who's fastest?'
