Navigating The Route
This is a circular spy mission through Gravesend’s town centre, historic streets, riverside promenade and parkland, with agents following pavements and well-laid paths as they race to recover the scattered codewords.
The route is fairly level and well paved throughout, making it suitable for both wheelchairs and pushchairs.
Important: Parts of the mission take place along the riverside, where paths run close to open water, and you will also be navigating busy roads and town centre crossings, so agents should use pedestrian crossings where available, stay alert at all times and keep younger operatives under close supervision.
Also note that riverside areas may flood in very wet conditions, so it is wise to check the weather and wear suitable footwear before setting off.
Getting There
By car: Thamesgate Shopping Centre Car Park (DA11 0AU) is the nearest parking to your starting point.
By public transport: Your mission begins at Gravesend Train Station, Clive Road (DA11 0HP), which is well served by rail services. If arriving by train, exit via Platform 2 to reach the start point quickly.
Need the Loo?
Even elite agents need a quick comfort break! Toilets can be found at the train station at the start, on the promenade near Clues 07-08 and at Borough Market near Clues 19-20.
Bring Your Furry Sidekicks
Four-legged agents are welcome on this mission 🐾. With a mix of town streets and riverside paths, it is a great outing for canine companions - just keep leads handy near roads and especially along the water.
Food & Drink Stops
Agents, refuelling opportunities are well covered! You will be moving through the town centre at the start and finish of your mission, where there are plenty of cafés, shops and snack stops to keep your energy levels up.
It is a good idea to grab supplies early or plan a stop here before heading out along the riverside section.
