What is a Treasure Trail?

Before You Set Off

Please Note:

This delightful little Trail will lead you from York Railway Station, past the Royal York Hotel and on into the Memorial Park, beautiful when adorned with flowers in bloom. It is then onwards and upwards for a brief sojourn on the bar walls before you head over Lendal Bridge. Don't forget to give a cheery wave to any passengers on the river boats below. As you meander past the gates of the stunning Museum Gardens you may feel the need for a diversionary picnic before you continue to the awe inspiring Gothic cathedral that is York Minster. The fun filled Trail will then direct you back to York station, where you will drink in yet more scenic delights. En route you will pass the award-winning five star Cedar Court Grand Hotel and; Spa. Why not stop off and sample a cocktail or a heartwarming hot chocolate before you reveal the culprit?

Once the Trail is complete, we highly recommend that you venture further into the heart of this exciting city and discover more of its tucked away treasures. Stroll the longest complete medieval walls in the UK, spend time at the world's largest railway museum, enjoy York's distinctive range of shops or simply sit back and relax with an afternoon tea in one of the many cafes and tea rooms?
